FEATURES & BENEFITS of the VISION SERIES CONSOLES
Vision dispatch consoles are the industry workhorses of 24/7 communications centers throughout North America. Rugged, durable, reliable, technically friendly and attractive are terms that best describe Vision Consoles.
Each Vision console design is personalized to meet both the current and future needs of the communications center personnel. The multi-purpose, multi-functional keyboard work surface is not only strong and durable, it also provides ample work area to meet the most demanding challenges.
The Vision height adjustable console furniture is designed as a "total lift" system which refers to all electronic cabinets containing CPU hardware and accessories being lifted with the console. The total lift eliminates wear on data connectors and allows technicians to work in a comfortable position when installing or conducting maintenance on computer systems.

Table Features:
- Sit-to-stand adjustability. Electric DC motors provide a keyboard work surface height range of ~23" to ~50" (27" range) and a monitor surface height range of ~29" to ~45" (16" range).
- Monitor surface weight lifting capacity of 1500 lbs. The Vision Series leads the industry in strength and reliability and is "future ready" in the event additional hardware is added to the console.
- Integral CPU compartments. All CPU compartments move up and down with the monitor surface, minimizing stress on hardware cabling. Can accommodate up to six CPU's in three compartments and internally support rack mount hardware and communication consolidation points. Vented for air intake and cooling and each capable of supporting loads up to 250 lbs.
- Technically friendly CPU compartments. Front and optional rear and side access panels provide open access. Technical lighting inside the CPU cabinet is available.
- Dedicated power bars for radio, phone and CAD. Power bars come with 15 foot power cords and duplex receptacles that accommodate transformers.
Work surfaces:
- Large corner cockpit. Vision 4 supports up to four 21" monitors, while the Vision 5 and 6 support up to five and six 21" LCD or CRT monitors respectively.
- Large multi-functional keyboard surface. Supports multiple keyboards, mouse devices, desktop phone, writing space and personal comfort controls.
- Work surfaces exceed ANSI/BIFMA X5.5-1998. Both work surfaces are capable of exceeding the test standards as primary work surfaces, providing the highest load rating on a keyboard surface of this size.
- Telescopic monitor platforms. Provides ergonomic benefit for touch screen monitors and rack mounts by reducing dispatcher reach and focal distance.
- Secondary keyboard riser. Reduces dispatcher reach when two or more keyboards are required.
- Electric keyboard with independent height adjustment. By means of a third direct drive motor, provides an additional 10" of height range and has the lifting capacity of 400 lbs.
Cable Management:
- Large capacity cable management arm. Secures and organizes wires and cables, eliminating cable stress while maintaining critical bend radius as console moves from seated to standing position.
- Easy access lay-in cable management. Large capacity trays deliver cables to the point of use without fishing and open fully for easy access.
- Power and data cabling is separated. Electrical wires and voice/data cables are separately managed to eliminate potential interference.
"Future Ready" Flexibility:
- Vision "Easy Relocation System". Provides for effortless console relocation when console is installed with the Bramic "quick disconnect" Power Distribution Unit (PDU).
- Rack mount capable monitor shelf. Allows for ease of upgrading radio and telephone equipment with modular rack system.
- Exceeds ANSI/BIFMA X5.5-1998. Vision consoles are designed to support static loads up to 1500 lbs., which exceeds the majority of ANSI/BIFMA durability requirements of desk products by a factor of 3X's. This helps to ensure many years of reliable operation and provides a solid return on your investment.
Privacy Panel Features:
- Optional rear access panel system. Designed for 9-1-1 centers. Rear access panel pop-outs (with recessed handles) allow technicians to enter and work through the back or front, without interfering with the dispatcher.
- A variety of panel styles are available including acrylic window sections that taper to the sides. Allows for seated eye contact with other individuals and visual access to projection screens. A variety of acrylic heights are available that help to minimize "voice bounce".
- Personalized design/build options. Panels can be built with both acrylic and fabric sections and configured in multiple heights to provide acoustical and visual benefits.
Personal Comfort System (PCS):
- Ventilation. Compact and recessed personal desktop air diffusers offer both horizontal and vertical directional controls providing optimum comfort without taking up valuable space on the work surface.
- Circulating heat warms the legs and feet. A 250W or 500W circulating fan forced heater with thermostat control, provides warmth to the feet and legs, assuring personal comfort. Optional cozy foot warmer pad is available in lieu of the circulating heat system.
- Recessed dashboard control unit. Includes 3-stage fan speed control for the filtered air, blowing heat on/off switch with indicator light, task light dimmer control and auto shut–off occupancy sensor for the PCS.
Safety Features on Sit/Stand Table:
- Table lift on/off switch protects the technician. This switch eliminates the potential of injury to a technician should a dispatcher mistakenly attempt to adjust the surfaces, when a technician is installing or maintaining radio/telephony hardware.
- Lift motors have overload protection. Ensures longevity of motors and comes equipped with an automatic reset.
- Static dissipative laminates. Available for protecting your personnel and electronic equipment from static shocks. Grounded to the steel frame of the furniture including a one mega-ohm resistor within the wiring connection, minimizes static build up for personnel and hardware.
- Seismic ready console system. The console system is capable of meeting seismic bracing requirements throughout North America.
