BRAMIC ADJUSTABLE FURNITURE CONSOLE TRAINING
ERGONOMICS - making the workplace "human-friendly" - is a combination of purchasing the right equipment, education, and use. The effectiveness of any ergonomic program is dramatically influenced by the degree to which employees receive training on the use of new equipment.
For this reason, training is an integral part of Bramic's implementation program for the Bramic Sit/Stand Adjustable Furniture Consoles.
IMPLEMENTATION
From experience, we have discovered that when a new operating system is introduced, operators find it difficult to absorb both the new software program information and the ergonomic training on how to use the furniture console. We recognize that the initial focus must be on learning the new operating system. For this reason, initial training at the time of equipment installation is provided to supervisory staff only. Supervisory staff can then provide direction to operators on basic "HOW TO USE" the furniture console. Approximately one month following initial installation, we recommend operator training. Our approach during these sessions is to "TRAIN the TRAINERS". Training is provided to a core group of operators and supervisors on the full operation of the furniture console, which includes the integration of standard seating products, and computer equipment.
TRAINING PROGRAM
Training is conducted in a three hour program. The program involves approximately one hour of classroom instruction and approximately two hours of hands-on practical instruction and training. The emphasis is on the full range use of the furniture console, demonstrating all the features, and the relationship to preventing injury. We include instruction on the proper use of seating products that are used on site. We believe that the proper integration of a seating product to the furniture console is essential to gain full benefit of the ergonomic solution. Class size is limited to six individuals so that maximum individual training can be accomplished.
