FEATURES & BENEFITS of the Multi-Functional EOC Console
Bramic is proud to present our unique multi-functional multi-tasking, EOC console that converts to an Emergency Operations Centre in just 45 seconds. This flexible, space-saving EOC table is available in a variety of sizes and finishes, personalized to your specif- ications. Bramic professionals work in conjunction with electrical, voice/data and audio-visual specialists to tailor-design each EOC table to suit the specific application.

The carefully handcrafted EOC console serves as a stylish versatile boardroom table on a daily basis. However, when a critical event occurs and a fully equipped EOC is suddenly needed, the boardroom table responds by simply inserting a security key and pressing a lift control switch.

Within seconds the centre of the EOC table raises, exposing dedicated cubicles, each capable of accommodating computer, telephone and radio equipment. With the EOC table in the raised position, all emergency measures personnel can be accommodated around the EOC table and maintain unobstructed line-of-sight communication.
EOC Console Function:
  • The automated conference table increases EOC operational efficiency by allowing each person sitting at the table to monitor multiple systems simultaneously and perform multiple communication functions for reporting and commanding operations during emergency situations.
  • All electronic hardware within the table is secured at all times and electrical wiring is concealed to prevent accidental contact or disconnection through both vertical and horizontal cable management.
  • The EOC consoles can be designed to comfortably seat between 6 and 12 people. The center area of the table lifts to expose hardware storage cubicles for up to 12 people. Each cubicle is designed to provide adequate storage for a laptop computer, telephone and radio.
Durability:
  • The entire laminated surface of the conference table is supported by a minimum 1" x 2" 16 gauge tubular frame that is capable of eliminating any surface deflection.
Ergonomics:
  • The conference table has been designed to provide adequate leg room and chair space for up to 12 seated adults. All cubicles located within the center lift section of the table are within easy reach of a seated person.
  • The center lift section of the table raises to a height of 42" from the floor which permits all seated personnel to communicate across the table and see monitors located around the EOC room.
  • The total vertical adjustment of center lift section does not exceed 12" above the fixed perimeter outer work surface.
Safety & Security:
  • The lift motors are controlled by a keyed lockout switch which prevents operation of the table without authorization. The key switch has been located adjacent the lift controls for the center section and both controls have been located under the front surface of the boardroom table.
  • Each table also contains one AC (alternating current) to DC (direct current) rectifier and transformer with UL (Underwriter's Laboratory) approval rating of 120 Volt AC/60 Hz at 3.5A. Each motor is equipped with thermal overload protection and an automatic reset.
  • Each storage cubicle secures and holds a laptop computer, phone and radio equipment. All electronic components (radios, telephones, laptops) within the center cubicles must be secured when the center section of the table is lowered.
Lift System:
  • Vertical adjustment of the center section of the table is provided by two DC (direct current) motors that provide optimum start up power and longevity.
  • The lift system has been designed as a total lift conference table which means that all electronic components (laptops, telephones and radios) move with the center lift section of the table. The lift systems (dual legs) are rated to a maximum static load of 1,500 lbs.
Work Surface & Construction:
  • The multi-functional automated conference table measures a maximum of 15' in length by 7' 6" in width. The center lift section measures 12' in length by 3' 10" in width and the conference table edging is 1¾" hardwood bullnose style.
Electrical & Wire Management:
  • The top surface of the center lift section has one power/data interconnect box containing one duplex power receptacle and two voice/data devices. The interconnect box is located in the center of this surface and has a security lid to protect the devices. The interconnect box is designed to provide power and data hook-ups for hardware placed on the center surface of the table.
  • All electronics cubicles have a dual compartment horizontal, non-metallic cable raceway to conceal and secure all power and data cabling and to prevent accidental damage or disconnection.
  • Horizontal and vertical cable management is a "lay-in" type to provide for ease of installation and to accommodate future moves, adds or changes.
  • All vertical and horizontal power and data raceways are divided in order to maintain separation of services. All electrical raceways are UL listed and CSA approved.
  • Each cubicle has two duplex receptacles for power and four category 5e RJ-45 jacks for voice and data which are recessed into the non-metallic raceway that is located in the rear of the user compartment.
  • All cabling is capable of being fed along the full length of the raceways that run down each side of the center lift section at the back of the storage cubicles.
  • Vertical cable management is controlled by expandable and collapsible divided cable arms. The hinged cable management arms have removal covers for easy access, and contain all electrical and communications cables in separate compartments. The arms must hold and control all cabling when the center of the table moves up or down, eliminating wear and tear on connectors, wires and cables.
Technical Access:
  • The sidewall structure of the conference table provides two double doors for technical access to the underside of the conference table.
Installation and Handling:
  • The automated conference table has been designed to fit within an EOC room and is capable of being knocked down in the event building access is restricted.
